We are exploring the option of installing some outdoor Gym equipment at a number of locations around the football pitches (adjacent to the Scout Hut/Village Hall), and the Main Street park, and we would like to hear your views.

The selection of kit in the photos below is based on discussions with suppliers and researching equipment already in use in other villages - they have also been chosen as, collectively, they will give someone an all round exercise regime.

This wouldn't be a replacement for those who prefer a fully equipped indoor Gym. It will be a facility for people who would like to exercise, locally, on a more casual basis. It would be free to use for all.

They wouldn't be sited close to the children's playgrounds as we wouldn't want them to be seen as play equipment.

Building an indoor Gym in the village is a major project and is not an option for the Parish Council.

Our view is that we would buy 9 pieces of equipment with a total budget in the range of £20-£25,000.

We are keen to get the views of a wide range of people in the village to see if it is something that would be considered popular and value for money.
